Below are current employment announcements for the City of Lincoln, Illinois.

 

The Lincoln Police Department is now accepting application, until August 10, 2024, for the position of part time Crossing Guard. The position of Crossing Guard serves the citizens of Lincoln by controlling traffic and ensuring safe crossing for pedestrians at the intersection of 8th and Union Streets, near the Central Elementary and Lincoln Junior High Schools, during the school year.

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Be at least 18 years of age,
  • Be of good moral character,
  • Be free of felony or disqualifying misdemeanor convictions,
  • Possess good communication skills,
  • Ability to walk and/or run short distances,
  • Understand the rules of the road.

Qualified candidates will be subject to a background investigation and drug testing.

The position requires the ability to work Monday through Friday from approximately 7:30 am to 8:30 am and 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, during school days.

Pay is commensurate with experience from $18 - $23 per hour.
