Council Minutes

Minutes of a Special City Council Meeting held in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Lincoln, IL, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

 

Mayor Snyder called the regular City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach called the roll.  There were seven Aldermen present (Alderman Anderson, Alderman Bauer, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn, Alderman Neitzel, Alderman O’Donohue, and Alderman Tibbs), one seat vacant and none absent. Also present were Fire Chief Miller, American Water/EMC Mr. Ferguson, Street Superintendent Mr. Jackson, Safety and Building Officer Mr. John Lebegue, and Police Chief Greenslate.  Also present were City Treasurer Mr. Conzo, City Attorney Mr. Bates, City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach, City Administrator Ms. McLaughlin, and Recording Secretary Mrs. Riggs.

 

Mayor Snyder led the Pledge of Allegiance. 

 

Public Participation:

There was no public participation. 

 

New Business/Communications:

Consideration of Request by a City Employee for extension of Family Medical Leave

 

Alderman Anderson moved to go into Executive Session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (1) personnel and Alderman Tibbs seconded it.  City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach called the roll call.  There were seven yeas (Alderman Anderson, Alderman Bauer, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn, Alderman Neitzel, Alderman O'Donohue, and Alderman Tibbs), zero nays, one seat vacant, and none absent; motion carried. The meeting adjourned to Executive Session at 7:02 p.m.

 

The meeting returned to regular Session at 7:11 p.m.  City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach called the roll.  There were seven yeas (Alderman Anderson, Alderman Bauer, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn, Alderman Neitzel, Alderman O'Donohue, and Alderman Tibbs), zero nays, one seat vacant, and none absent; motion carried. Also present were Fire Chief Miller, American Water/EMC Mr. Ferguson, Street Superintendent Mr. Jackson, Safety and Building Officer Mr. John Lebegue, and Police Chief Greenslate.  Also present were Mayor Snyder, City Treasurer Mr. Conzo, City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach, City Attorney Mr. Bates, City Administrator Ms. McLaughlin, and Recording Secretary Mrs. Riggs. 

 

Alderman Anderson moved to deny Kevin Logan an extension of Family Medical Leave from March 11, 2014 to June 3, 2014 and Alderman Horn seconded it.  City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach called the roll call.  There were seven yeas (Alderman Anderson, Alderman Bauer, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn, Alderman Neitzel, Alderman O'Donohue, and Alderman Tibbs), zero nays, one seat vacant, and none absent; motion carried.

 

Alderman Neitzel moved to adjourn the meeting and Alderman Tibbs seconded it. There were seven yeas (Alderman Anderson, Alderman Bauer, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn, Alderman Neitzel, Alderman O'Donohue, and Alderman Tibbs), zero nays, one seat vacant and none absent; motion carried.

 

The City Council Meeting was adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
