The City of Lincoln, State of Illinois, and County of Logan have partnered to redevelop Fifth Street Road west of Lincoln Parkway (Old Route 66) to the Interstate overpass. Not only will this improve the roadway itself, but was to correct water drainage along the roadway itself from neighboring developments.
In the recent months there have been concerns raised with the sporadic sightings of coyotes within the city limits. Contacts have been made with the USDA Wildlife Services as well as the State of Illinois DNR for consultation and direction. The sightings have been categorized as just that, “sightings” or “observations”.
Due to the shortage of toilet paper that has developed during the Coronavirus pandemic, we would like to remind the residents of the City of Lincoln that flushing items other than toilet paper or human waste may damage your home’s lateral or the City sewer. If you choose to flush items other than toilet paper or human waste to the City’s sewer system, you may cause a back-up within your home. Per City ordinance 7-7-4-5, the homeowner will incur all costs due to events of this nature.
